rainee SG So how fast do you get a increase in your paycheck? My friends only got an increment of $100 after working in the same company for 2 years oledi And when you get an increase, does it come together with a job promotion?
ditzy SG I have this pseudo resignation letter in my lower drawer which I take out every 4 months to show my boss and.......
rainee SG i mite be resigning either this april or july, see how the company treats me in these few months...if treat me well, i will stay until july
rainee SG hmm yea, but have to see oso la whether the company is good to u or not...if they have been nice to u, quite hard to quit leh, esp if you are someone who is hard to be replaced by the comp...
ditzy SG Company good to me or not is no use. If I'm not good to myself, its not the company that's going to die in the future.
rainee SG i remember one of my previous colleagues said: why tink so much for the company when it is not thinking of you at all? in a week's time she got fired
crispylips SG I am thinking about doing the same thing. But i wonder if the boss would accept without asking question.....
crispylips SG That was not such a bad idea actually. Except taht i am bonded. Throwing tha letter would mean paying the company some freedom money.
iLuVpOrKyPiG SG 2 of my colleagues holding the same position did it together and got a few hundred for increment. that shows how lousy the management is.
ditzy SG For me its not totally about the money. I'm not going to grow if I stay where I am now. Even if you throw me 500 bucks more, I'm going to say sorry, I don't want to trap myself.
pie SG If you're young, its better to move than to be stagnant, even if the environment is nice. Unless you intend to do the same thing for the next 10 years
ditzy SG My exact sentiments. Push yourself as much as you can, see how far you can go. Now that's something worth remembering. You don't just want memories of that cushy job in the office surfing the net day in day out. Save that when you're old and your bones start to creak.
