Is there really a job that is 9 to 5?

seriously i doubt this kind of job even exists. most of us works 8.30 to 6. some even earlier. so where can we find 9 to 5 jobs in singapore? Laughing

since we are at it, what are you guys/girls' working hours?

It’s not just Singapore. Over here in Melbourne, I used to stick to 38.5 hours a week, but even then I still stuck around till 3 am when my US clients needed something done quickly. Currently, I’m typically at the office from 8.30 till 6.30, but again, leaving the office at 1 am is not unusual. The work’s interesting so I’ve got no complaints.

i normally reach 9++ and leave at 1730

boss dont care as long as we get the job done

and then hor.. my colleagues 530 also no go home de leh.. some of them stay till 8 plus, 9pm and even go back during weekends. really so many things to do meh? or fake hardworking? Rolling Eyes

some really have endless load of work to do, so no life, some no life so u know why, some cant perform or company to big, so they LL, some just want fat bonuses so they setup office tents near the end of the year...

know a few mnc award to department wic knocks off early but without much success...cos ppl wld juz go bk off few hrs later... Very Happy

sigh.... mine 8.30 to 5.50 week days.

but normally sat need to work till 4 pm. but tomorrow still need to go for at 10am. almost 7 days work liao. it taking my time with my family. really envy those working 5 days work one

unlike DJs in other countries whereby their job is simply to talk on air and having their own producers doing all the admin work for them. local DJs having to do everything and including recording for commercials and weekend roadshows for sponsors. Laughing

It's hard to fake hardworking.

I think they're just addicted to work, letting it overlap into their own social life.
If they have to stay overtime to finish up the work often, it's clear that HR didn't hire enough people.

but they always tell me not urgent, dun need to stay mah.

mine is 7.15 to 3 or 4 plus. i go off on time unless there is work i die die must finish today. even if OT i only stay back 1 or 2 hrs. i dont like to spend my non-working hours at my workplace. Rolling Eyes i rather go home and watch dramas. Laughing

mi attachment office de standard hours (including normal staff) is 9 to 6.
