CASTING CALL!
Inviting all aspiring actors/actresses.
Hi there,
We are a group of students from Singapore Polytechnic’s
Diploma in Media & Communication. We are in need of
actors/actresses for our 5-minute short film that is part of our
module grading assessment.
The filming will take place within the period from
8th December 2012 to mid December 2012.
The characters may be subject to slight changes but
here are the rough outlines.
Basic requirements:
- Malay/ Chinese/ Peranakan
- Able to speak English
- No prior acting experience required but
preferred
1st
Main role: Granddaughter: Sharon
Female , Age: 17-18 years old, An filial daughter,
and granddaughter.
2nd
Main role: Grandfather: Ah Kong
Male, Talent Age: 30- 70 years old,
Main Protagonist. Character aged 50-70. To act as
the most respected elder in the family. Behind the entire image of
respect, he gave in to temptation.
(Younger actors with mature looks are welcome
to apply! Make up and dress code can increase your age for the
grandfather! No worries!)
Supporting role:
1. Father,
age: 17-40 years old
Supporting role. Looks mature and upright.
Respected figure within his family. Trapped between family pride
and his daughter's future. Shows a lot of respect to the
grandfather.
2.
Mother, age 17-40years old
Supporting role. Looks mature, with a strong tinge
of a strong career woman. Share close bonds with Father.
