Yesterday when I was at the gym,
I took a measurement of my height.
Lo and behold,
I was 1 cm shorter than usual.
I did not understand this, I thought something was wrong, so I
kept repeating.
But the result was the same.
I dont understant what happened and why it's like this.
Simple.
The logic is that the difference when you measure your
height the 1st thing right after you wake up and the last thing
before you sleep can be as much as 2cm, due to the spine. When you
sleep and stretch your spine before you wake up, your spine is
relaxed and thus lengthens. As you do your daily activities,
your spine springs back due to gravity pull.
A similar thing is that your feet are usually a
little bit bigger at the end of the day because it swells with
blood and fluids when you walk around. That's why people usually
buy shoes half a size bigger to give some allowance for the feet to
expand, making you feel comfortable as the day goes by.
