The Battle of Red Cliff

last SG · 2007-12-28T19:21:11+00:00

its coming finally, this is the only chinese movie that I'll like to see on the big screen.

extrinsic SG

zhang fei + guan yu played only a small part in chibi..
they are only there at the ending where they rounded up cao cao defeated armies under instructions of zhuge.

famous point is where guan yu sets free cao cao at huarong trail, as he feels he is indebted to the latter.

huang zhong, ma chao, sima yi are not involved in chi bi

xiahou was not mentioned in red cliff battle, so i suppose during that time he is sent to guard cities?

Doesn't pull off quite well.

Aaron might come off as one of the candiate, his performance has improved so much. But of cos, these are all in the thoughts of selecting for fill in sake. There isn't any actors who can fit into the Zhou Yu image, at this moment of time.

I'm actually looking forward to Leon Lai's performance as Zhou Yu the other 3K installation.

The down side of taking Zhou Yu's role is, that dude have to speak chinese. So most HK artiste is put off by it.

Still watch the movie, but not expecting much. Laughing

sad to say she will have streamy role wif tony leung. Mad

extrinsic SG

actually, at first, i thought they would get a female actress to cross-act as zhou yu... haha.. since zhou yu is look like a gu niang more going by the story. Smile

798 SG

I get really, really peeved when there is a picture of Tony Leung with misaligned pupils.

Gordonator SG

i LOLed at the end of the trailer with the pigeon flying towards the screen. it's like a trademark of john woo's movies to have white flying pigeons.

Fatum SG

I'm wary of all these big budget chinese movies liao ...

pattern liao liao, lots of action sequences, lots of grand scenes, but that's about it .....

not much substance ...

so many disappointments recently ...

curse of the golden flower,

three kingdoms,

lust caution ....

etc etc ...
