it is about one of the most wonderful movies i've ever
watched..
the role was made for Bill Murray.. no one else could have pulled
off this role with his deadpan look...
a tale of a burnt out and cynical American actor contracted to do a
Suntory Whiskey commercial in Japan, where he runs full-on into a
culture completely alien to him.. he's lost, alone,
bewildered...
and also the tale of a photographer's wife, left neglected in a
hotel room when her husband runs off on shoots.. bored, alone and
also lost..
they find each other and a friendship blossoms...
and from there, they go on an exhilarating adventure in a strange
land together.. finding friendship and maybe a spiritual
understanding between very different, yet similar
personalities...
a wonderful movie..
