i think it meant that if u play faster you will go back more to the past

like. u play speed 1, go future 20 years,
speed 2 go back 20 years
speed 2.1 go back 21 years etc.

example only la...
so he still went back then piano at 'present' gone then he become a part of the history lor.
and he went back to the time like before xiao yu asthma attack.

but its just wad i THINK

if xiao yu is not dead in the past, she would be in her late 30s in the present day. prehaps she was really sick or didn't want xiao lun to see her in her 30s.

but one thing is, whenever rain was playing, the surrounding kept changing... but when jay was playing, nothing changed.. the building is still continue to demolish... & after he finished playing, he can still c the ball moving towards him..

hmm.. tis is oso how i interpreted.. this movie is good.. everyone got diff interpretion.. hehe..

LOL okok seem near la... tot can shut down the machine or pull away the ball ma.. then maybe i was thinking actually the piano can teleport u to the future only... then u play hasty key to return to ur actual time... thus when jay play it did not change to the past but brought the future, the future of the room and the piano terminates at the destruction so cannot go further into the future where the piano dont exsist... cause rain every time come to the future she is in the piano room ma... so if future no piano room then u cannot reach the future?

hehe.. from wat i noe is.. those ball to demolish building.. is using a force to swing the ball.. so u noe lar.. swinging.. & wan to pull back.. or pull away.. very hard de.

i oso interpreted that hasty key is return to actual time: when jay playing hasty key, he will return to his current time, & when rain playing hasty key, she will return to her past.

so that y when jay played hasty key, he remain at his time. thus kana hit & die lor..

& one more thing is.... rem when rain taught jay to play that song, she play super fast... & her face very strange.. i got a feeling, she knew that jay can learn piano keys very fast, so she purposely play fast, so he cant go back to the past to look for her, when he knew the truth...
