I have a similar point of view. Of course in the movie it was
scripted that the statues will turn to dust in the light outside
the museum. More than this we can learn about the past of different
cultures and the way they lived (the night guard had to learn about
their way of life if he was to work in the museum every night, more
like a zoo-keeper
). I think
this movie also highlighted tolerance among people of different
cultures and the importance of communication and understanding in
the family nucleus.
But most importantly it can be a comedy we all enjoy
watching.
