a 16 year old girl who suffers from the rare skin condition
xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), a disease that makes the ultraviolet
radiation of sunlight potentially lethal to her. She leads a life
opposite of the norm, sleeping during the day and only being active
at night. She falls in love with a surfer as her illness
progresses.
