just caught the movie at west mall.
basically talks abt the sorry fate of North Korean(NK) boy and his
sister whose family failed to defect to the south and how the boy
turned into an international terrorist planning to destroy the
koreas.
Plot/Storyline
Generally the plot deviates from the usual NK government/terrorists
trying to destroy the south or the US with some stolen
nuclear/chemical/biological/ uber high tech weapon. at the same
time it doesnt flow like a standard destruction action movie as the
movie regularly updates you on the lead actor's family background,
how he ended up in this state and explains his hardened
determination for destruction. same goes for how he eventually
built his weapon of mass destruction and method of using it.
credits for the creativity part.
yet at the same time, some parts of the movie tends to move very
slowly and become boring. another flaw of this movie is that it
isnt very obvious who's who and who's working for who.
final scene is equally ridiculous, 2 torpedoes take that long to
hit the ship? they still have so much time to slowly poke each
other with a bayonet/ penknife. after exploding, the lead actor
still can slowly wayang his way out of the ship, with his teammates
surviving a super typhoon in the open sea to await rescue.
reminds me of The Perfect Storm.
