here's one more mundane..

momma and baby jaguar...

sometimes jaguars (in Latin America) come out all black and may have spotted offspring..

this happens to leopards of Asia and Africa too

the weird smiley thingy is actually the male of the species (strangely named the Superb Bird of Paradise) trying to court the drab-coloured female in the foreground

here's another deep sea horror..

known only through a single caught species with a fricken long scientific name and no "common name", it looks like a squid with teeth.. it's actually "folded lips" but they look like teeth
