I just suffered from a near-heart attack....

I was trying to book my air tickets online. I had already typed in my Mastercard info.

Then I clicked on 'Submit'..... and I got a bloody webpage error.

I quickly checked my DBS account, and luckily, as far as I can tell, the transaction didn't go through.

I don't know which side farked up, SingNet or Emirates.... but whoever screwed up deserves to be tossed into a cage full of horny homosexual gorillas to be gang-raped in all possible orifices....

Tomorrow I'm going down to the Emirates office to do this bullshit personally. And people wonder why I have a serious mistrust of online transactions.

most of the time, they'd send back an acknowledgement if the payment goes through...

Well, no acknowledgement email, no SMS alert from DBS (they send out the alert every time a large transaction goes through), and DBS iBanking shows no signs of the transaction. So I guess I'm in the clear.

I'm sure you understand my near-myocardial infarction episode.... that was a transaction of over $2000. That's not something any of us can just shrug off if the shit had hit the fan.

I want to be more accepting of online payments. However, until those imbeciles behind SingNet and the code monkeys behind the website's server get their act together, I refuse to embrace it wholeheartedly.
