If it were me, I'd be willing to pay the extra $0.46 for the
convenience of not having to hassle with the transfer.
All things considered, the cost of public transportation in
Singapore is still fairly affordable, the crowds
notwithstanding.
It used to be $2.52 vs $2.40. Now its $1.94 w/ distance fare.
Generally those taking 170 and x-fer to MRT at Kranji and travel
to destination like Ang Mo Kio, Clementi and beyond gets fare
reduction.
