the $100 was to drive away the local hoi polloi and
maintain an air of exclusivity to the place so that, hopefully,
it'll attract the atas rich who prefers not to rub shoulders with
kopisoh aunties and retiree unkers with their CPF kitties.
but hey .... since entrance is free for all sorts of foreigners
