hey... how much did you buy your running thingy? does it tell
the distance as well as the time you ran?
Nike + iPod pedometer? $55 at epiCenter.
You need to buy a third-party pedometer holder (another $16~) to
fix it to your shoe if you're not wearing Nike + shoes.
It tells you time, distance, pace (in real time), and total
calories burnt (at the end of the run).
Oh, and either Lance Armstrong or Paula Radcliffe will
congratulate you after you reach a new milestone (fastest mile,
longest distance so far, etc). 
Note that it only works with iPod nano, iPod Touch, and iPhone
3GS.
