I heard the movie was pure eye candy--all SFX with very little in the way of plot.

That's what happens when you throw in a director like McG.

They should have gotten someone like Bryan Singer instead.

You can milk a cow all you want, but once it has stopped producing milk, you gotta lay off the squeezing, or it's gonna kick you in the face.

It seems to me that every time MediaCrap comes up with one genuinely bright idea, they will proceed to milk it to death before moving on to the next bright idea that comes up.

That has happened again and again and again and again.

Speaking of which, what's to become of the empty plot of land where the Lakeview Market once stood? When I was in Singapore last year, they still hadn't built anything there.

I have very fond memories of the old Lakeview Market. Used to spend quite a bit of time bumming around that area, since it was very near my parents' house.

It's still empty. It's actually a rather small plot of land, with the slope leading to the drain. Perhaps they also found the ground unsuitable for anything higher than what used to be there.

I live at Shunfu estate.

- immediate reruns on TV Mobile

- one universally-panned musical (where the actors did a Milli Vanilli)

- public appearances for no clear reason (what do trains have to do with nyonyas, anyway?).....
