Sounds like a win-win situation for both parties: the LTA
rakes in cash from the "fine" and SBST increases its operating
revenue stream from the fare hike that the LTA is sure to
approve.
It smells almost like a conspiracy, with the ultimate losers
being the consumers.
That's the usual.
They raised fares citing fuel costs, now they tell us that fuel
costs are not important enough to justify lower fares despite
waaaay lower fuel costs now.
If they are aiming for price stability....fine.
But you dont come up with shitty excuses for not lowering the
fares which includes citing other factors besides fuel, when
fuel costs were cited as the MOST important reason back then.
