Imagine that you have just had a really really bad day that couldn't get any worse at work / school / whatever other social situation.

What is your preferred way of getting your anger / frustration / disappointment etc out of your system?

I always look forward to being at home where I can totally nua and do whatever I like! Usually, just the solitude and peace alone is calming. A bit of serenity in one's home never hurts!

I love to either :

- Lounge on the futon couch (which has become a permanent 2nd double bed now) and watch cable / DVD's;

- Play PC games to distract myself;

- Cook;

- Languish in bed with my book(s) and mags;

- Take a trip down to the bookstores / Singapore Chom Chom / Boxhill;

- Chat on the phone / SMS with selected buddies.

Increasingly, like many other nurses here, I'm finding it tough to tolerate a full 5-day week. I really enjoy my temporary work arrangement now whereby I get to work as much or as little every week as I choose to, and get paid premium dollar for it!

I've got a Singapore friend who's also a nurse and who has also chosen this path and she can on a whim and fancy, just decide, "Oh! I want to return to SG for a short trip!" and just off and go! The income's good and there's no need to apply for annual leave if you're working on casual terms. I might just do this permanently in the near future.

I think the burn-out rate in my profession is really high. I know too many who choose to work only 3-4 days a week or less.

And I'm bringing him to this fantastic Italian Pasta restaurant in Lygon St and bring him to San Chocolateria and take tons of photos to make you drool like mad! If he's around for enough days, I'll bring him to Movida's (Spanish) as well!

most times i just flop dead on the bed (after the usual shower/dinner) coz if it's a long and stressful day, it means i get home at any time between 11 and 3.
