no lah, you don't see that much around the region, except for
the philipines ....
what i don't like is the proliferation of backplate systems by
manufacturers who don't really know what backplates are about
....
backplates are supposed to be steel, not aluminium or some light
exotic alloy, the whole idea is to have the weight distributed
evenly around the back, so you need not have a heavy belt around
the waist, shifting your CG underwater ... if you replace that with
a light plate then it really defeats the whole purpose ... even
halcyon is not immune to this mass market demand ...
you mean they use aluminium plates now?
anyway...one thing I like about the one piece webbing
harness..it accomodates bodyweight changes
