Whether you get bruised or not... depends on how good the medic
is.
Usually it's caused by the medic shooting the needle right
through the vein instead of into the vein. End
result: blood pools underneath your skin, leading to the blue-black
mark you see.
Go easy on the fella... I don't have a 100% success rate,
either.
