haha...somehow the smell of grass, leaves, jungles doesnt make me crave for cigarettes. i just love trekking at these places, escape the hustle and bustle of my mundane job. you can imagine how im daydreaming now in my office :p

well theres gota be some in Singapore, i really wana play punk and camp illegally overnight in some deserted beach or some forest clearing. see those makeshift camps by illegal workers in jungle areas...cool rite??? wonder if i can build a treehouse at some explored jungle areas.

so so...any club 30ers know of any deserted beaches or some nice illegal campgrounds in the mainland or any offshore islands? pls pls share.

ur idea of adventure is fun but highly dangerous..deserted areas like you mentioned aoften contain illegal immigrants, vice dens, gambling dens..in short, desperadoes..even police will not enter them unless they are on ops.

these people are very desperate and often patrol the area with big parangs or other arms and very willing to attack even police.

so when u find such huants..do have fun =)

We're talking about a mangrove forest next to the sea.

I do have a few spots of my own .....

but sorry, nothing against you ... but what they say is right .... a paradise found is a paradise lost ... so what's still left shall remain undisclosed .....

neways there are no truly deserted spots in singapore, unless you count the military training areas (and no, I don't believe mas selamat's hiding in the jungles) ....

there was a place, with an untouched jungle creek with fresh water crabs and shrimp in Singapore, and another brackish jungle pond full of wild forest snakehead in it .... both gone now ... part of a highway extension now ...

lorong halus used to be an ulu place, years ago ... sungei api api also .... paradise if you like puttering around in swamps ....

but don't worry.. usually sandflies won't plague you when you are there so you CAN enjoy the peace and quiet

it will just drive you nuts the next day after you come back :P
