I usually brisk walk for about 10 mins before jogging. I
was told that the body needs about 10-15mins to warm up before it
starts to burn fats..Is this true?
From what I understand.....
In cardiovascular exercise, intially your body burns mainly
glucose. It's after a while that it starts to burn fats. How soon
that happens depends on a lot of factors, like how much you're
exerting yourself and so on.
So I guess yeah, sustained exertion is the way to go. Start
slow, and gradually ramp up your jogging mileage as your fitness
level goes up.
