fudgester SG I've always hated mosquito coils.... they tend to set off my allergic rhinitis. One of my former tuition students' mum used to burn mosquito coils in her home.... even though the aircon was on and all the doors and windows were closed. Needless to say, every tuition session invariably ended with my having a sneezing fit.
Kuali Baba SG That reminds me of my days in JC Year 2, when we got a regular classroom which was actually just a container set among some trees. We'd use mozzie coils or "fog" the place with a whole can of insecticide in the evening. Sometimes we'd even spend whole periods catching them with our hands.

Meia Gisborn SG Just spoke with my folks a few nights back--apparently, their neighbour a couple of houses down had been fined for having standing water in one of those pans kept under a flowerpot in their garden. Didn't know what the amount of the fine was, though. Any idea?
