Fatum SG seriously, some people are just plain irresponsible when it comes to disposing their former pets .... even worse is when people start importing fish to fish ponds for people to catch to make money ! .... check this out ..... thailand pond operators ... http://www.anglingthailand.com/fish_species/index.htm
elindra SG Erhmm so many South American Species and a lot of aggressive ones too No wonder their Siamese Tiger fishes are becoming extinct and that is not because of pollution and the pet market Although they are predators themselves they won't stand a chance against the Alligator Gar or the Arapaima
Fatum SG same thing in singapore also ..... after some unthinking farkers released peacock bass into our waters the snakehead population plummented ..... it's like an exotic aquarium at some singapore reserviours right now ...
elindra SG Oh Singapore Reserviors are South American Giants Playground You get Giant Motoro Rays, Arapaima, Redtail Catfish, Monster Bichirs etc in our Reserviors
the Bear SG i'm waiting for a minister to go open some kind of project at a reservior and get bitten by an arapaima
the Bear SG wanna join us one day for makan? if you like "weird food" you can also help us gross out ferret
4getmenot SG if its primitive, shouldn't it be a protected in the first place nad let it live in it original habitat? knowing how big and how fererious this fish can be, why are even importers allowed to import this species in its first place where it doesn't belong... y blame that the fish is destroying the eco system when the irreponsible should be the ones who are responsible, i say let the owners swim in the same pool with its pet to understand its 'pet' better..!!!
hiphop2009 SG shall we get the royal navy force of malaysia to get ready too? they got better weapons. hahahaha.
Rhonda SG That THING just looks hideous!!! It looks like it'll take a bite out of you if you somehow happen to swim by it! It does look like one of the mutant creatures in those PC games where you mate this creature with the other and get a totally hideous freak!
elindra SG That's coz they are not endangered and some people like monster pets Or the aquariums import the fish and don't tell buyers how big it will grow Because it is really a cute baby fish ><"<br /><br /><blockquote><div class="quote_from">Originally posted by Rhonda:</div><div class="quote_body">That THING just looks hideous!!! <img src="/images/emoticons/classic/icon_eek.gif" alt="Shocked" title="Shocked"/> <img src="/images/emoticons/classic/icon_eek.gif" alt="Shocked" title="Shocked"/> It looks like it'll take a bite out of you if you somehow happen to swim by it! <img src="/images/emoticons/classic/icon_eek.gif" alt="Shocked" title="Shocked"/> <img src="/images/emoticons/classic/icon_eek.gif" alt="Shocked" title="Shocked"/><br /><br />It does look like one of the mutant creatures in those PC games where you mate this creature with the other and get a totally hideous freak! <img src="/images/emoticons/classic/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" title="Razz"/> </div></blockquote>It's considered a prehistoric fish <img src="/images/emoticons/classic/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" title="Razz"/>
