Well... its a useful tool only if its a flat surface behind. If its not, the sensors are of no use at all.. its still better to rely on your eyes...

yah actually very tempted to do a bit of camping.. mebbe can leave my in laws.. with my parents.. hahaha and i go do a spot of camping with the hubby.

It's just DIFFERENT being together in the middle of the forest, park, beach, eating fruits, seeing the scenery, listening to the crickets. Makes me feel peace inside my heart like I'm part of the universe Very Happy

i figure, i've done the camping for my lifetime already.. since my spine will be unable to let me do any more Razz

oh.. in australia, please know what to do if you come across snakes.. almost all of the snakes there are lethal Razz

err i dunno abt the 'romantic' part.. Neutral generally I'm not a very romantic person(yeah poor hubby but he doesnt ever need to buy roses).. I enjoy camping a lot with friends too Smile

But i think its just the 'calmness'... when i come back from camping, I feel.. more secure in the world?

Once in a while hubby and some friends we wld go changi beach or some offshore island to camp .... like retreat from the cold heartless world.. heehee

and the lizards... I guess one big problem w camping in australia is the number of poisonous animals there!

camping sounds good, but me no like insects and then apparently the others in club 30 are saying got whatever sand fleas and ticks in the sand of beaches......... Confused

to reassure you, I will tell u tha sandfly bites dont take 'effect' immediately.

Apply ur standard insect repellent regular, spray on the net of ur tentage and u could avoid most of them

and those u could not avoid, you would only get itchy about a couple of days after. So .. u can enjoy ur camping Very Happy

did I mention damn bloody itchy? heehee. but unless u allergic, no lasting harm done lah.

oh also helps if u dont itchy fingers make sandcastle or watever in most of local beaches by digging into the sand.

i remember my ex-gf saying she went there with her family once.. and in the bathroom of the motel they were in, there was a cane toad which took refuge in there..

none of them dared to go in there

when i was with her, i found out that her whole family was petrified of bugs and stuff like that... Laughing

ugghhh ... my family was there, tried to light fire in those fireplaces and out ran this HUGE HAIRY WOLF spider or watever..

my poor dad was man of the family and attempted to slam the bugger... and rest of us screaming around when the owner of the chalet came and said, dont worry not poisonous.. (WHO CARES IF ITS POISONOUS OR NOT!!! I dun want it near me!)

no wonder my wounds not healed yet...

btw, I have 5 spots which leeches fed on (my legs), the red marks are still there...cannot heal...(that was last year October at Mt something something at JB)...

some people are allergic to sandfly bites.. and they take months to heal.. I'm quite lucky mine just take weeks. hehehehe....

did u pull or flick the leech off, or did they drop off by themselves?
