there.
The main cargo handled at the Port of Duluth is iron ore, as
northern MN has very rich deposits of it that are heavily mined.
The ore is loaded into bulk carriers and shipped worldwide.
Duluth is accessible from the North Atlantic via the St. Lawrence
Seaway and the other Great Lakes.
