kopiosatu SG i actually poked until my gums are bleeding i think i need to see a dentist. or should i wait till the stuff breaks down naturally?
viciouskitty74 SG should i suggest you gargle some vinegar to help speed the break down of thsoe stuffs?
the Bear SG break down teeth too.. teeth = calcium carbonate... calcium carbonate + acid = carbon dioxide + some kinda salt
kopiosatu SG now i have to go find vinegar. i have no idea what's in the kitchen. the last time i cooked for the family was when i was 16!
fudgester SG Vinegar = ethanoic acid. Calcium carbonate + ethanoic acid = calcium ethanoate + carbon dioxide + water.
kopiosatu SG sh*t... i wanna eat that. but does that mean my one week of diet (2kg loss) will go to waste????
fudgester SG Household vinegar is just 4% ethanoic acid... which is already a pretty weak organic acid to begin. So ultimately, its dissolving action on your teeth is negligible even if you were to gargle with it... though I doubt you would want to do that.
the Bear SG nope.. my usual one.. good enough.. but then, hey.. i'm getting better by the day anyway, thought vinegar was acetic acid or are they the same?
fudgester SG Acetic acid is simply another name for ethanoic acid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetic_acid In other news, I've been skimming through a research paper that my prof gave me as a reference for my FYP. Basket... I can barely comprehend 10% of whatever gobblygoodook the author's talking about. Things aren't looking good for me.
the Bear SG i thought so.. i was doing chemistry during the time where they started to change the names of all the acids and bases... like what we called Ammonium Hydroxide was changed to Ammonia Solution in between Sec 3 and 4.. got us all mixed up until the teacher said to stick with what we already learnt...
Meia Gisborn SG Please refresh my memory: you're FYP pertains to the mixing of liquids in a pipe, right? Or am I thinking of someone else?
