fudgester SG Yeah... I once saw the reaction of a lump of caesium with water on a Chemistry educational video. Extremely violent... it totally smashed the tub it was in. If you can get enough francium, the reaction would theoretically be much, much more violent. Unfortunately, it is so unstable than less than an ounce of it exists on Earth at any one time. Heck, the biggest stockpile of francium ever put together was just 10,000 atoms big. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francium I love wikipedia.
fudgester SG Uhh.... nope. In fact, GESS is a government school. The name 'Gan Eng Seng' belongs to the government now... in fact, they set up Gan Eng Seng Primary School just a few years ago which is in no way affiliated to GESS.
Wanda SG A nong nong time ago, I went to a GES school concert to guest perform some modern dance with my classmates.
fudgester SG Was it at Anson Road or next to the railway station at that time? I was in one of the last few batches to be taught at the building next to the railway station... they moved a couple of years after I graduated to its present location at Tiong Bahru.
Wanda SG Yes, of course lah! There was colour tv way way earlier than that.... I remember our first colour tv at home was a Sony Trinitron...very good tv...i was just a kid. Anyway, u just called me jie jie instead of auntie tonight, so ... Anyway, it's time for auntie's bedtime...good nite folks!
fudgester SG *me lubs beard* That would be sometime in the 80s... if I remember correctly, it moved to the place next to the railway station in 1989.
fudgester SG *me mysteriously appears in a puff of smoke* I've been reading an introductory article to tensors that I found on the net. Simply put, they're a general form of expressing scalars and vectors. I figured that I would need to get a grasp of this before I can start appreciating the research papers on my FYP topic. Suffice to say that this stuff on tensors is pretty tense.
