with deep Hindu culture. Angkor Wat means City Temple. It was said
that the Indian armies fought with the Angkor Queen. The Queen
promised that if they lost the war, she would marry the Indian
King. She lost and therefore married the King. Indian culture was
thus brought into Cambodia.
There are many faces to the Angkor Wat. At one point, you can see
the 5 tall structure represent the 5 peaks of Mt Meji. The moat is
man made. It took them 300,000 slaves, 4,000 elephants and 40 years
to complete the Angkor Wat
