hmmm....i can't make my bergedil taste like what i bought from bugis cai peng stall....i think they put curry powder in the mashed up potatoes...so i did the same but taste bitter......

maybe put too much powder....

curry powder also there are different combinations of spices..

maybe less spice but you roast them a bit...

try to put more curry leaves in them instead.. slightly roast or fry the leaves first...

hahahha no la.. me and my hubby shared 2 rolls after all the 'warnings' but realised the toilet paper there ok la.. like our 'older' type.. a bit rough but my butt aint no smooth babybutt either so... Very Happy

I went from Islamabad, stopover at Chilas, and stayed a couple of nights at Hunza Valley. We supposed to go to Khunjerab pass but there was a land slide after Sost, so bobian, drive back. Then we went to Minapin and went up to Rakaposhi base camp from there. Spent couple of nights at the rakaposhi base camp!

Will upload some pics Very Happy its a love place.

It feels good to be back... to be able to see GREENERY. It was a lot of rocks for many weeks.

Wow...sounds lovely.

My trip was way back in 97 (waa...10 yrs liao Razz ), basically i covered islamabad, move northwards on the Karakoram Highway all the way to Gilgit (supposed to fly but couldn't due to weather), Hunza, etc. and from Sost took a jeep over the Khunjarab Pass to NW China, ended at the town of Kashgar (Xinjiang), then u-turn back to Islamabad. Didn't go to Rakaposhi.

I love the mountains and valleys in northern Pakistan...maybe coz it was my first backpacking trip...so was very memorable. What about you? Did you enjoy yourselves? Very Happy

Oh, SC, did you see the starry night sky over in Pakistan? It was like the whole sky was covered with stars, and one could see a falling star every 5 mins or so. Smile

Waaa.. that sounds like a good trip. Yah we went down KKH too but did not manage to go to Kashgar. wow did you backpack without a guide there?
Apparently its not 'allowed' now, the police will stop you if you have no guide.

Mine was a package so a lot more 'relaxing' dont need to think abt transport! I loved the part we spent in the mountains, it is really unspoilt and wild not so 'touristy' and also where we explored the glaciers. My first 'trekking' trip in non tropical terrain so its very memorable for me too.

Sigh!! BUt also brought home how horribly unfit i am!!!
