Which Asian movies would you recommend?

Erm... are you referring to that famous Jap movie? I think you might have the title wrong somehow.

The Vengeance Trilogy consisting of Sympathy For Mr Vengeance, Oldboy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance.
Devils on the Doorstep, a China film about World War 2.
All John Woo's early works, such as The Killer, Bullet In The Head, Hard-Boiled and A Better Tomorrow.

Isn't it Internal Affairs? Or were u being sarcastic about that movie?
Very Happy

I personally recommend Windstruck. Korean movie that will make u cry buckets during the last 20-25mins of the movie. Everyone in the cinema was making the "sniffing" sound trying to miff their crying. Another movie that makes a lot of people reach for their Kleenex was Wait Until You're Older by Andy Lau. Funny at first, but later on, really make u think about ur own life, and how certain things shouldn't wait to be done/say before its too late.

Hi everyone!

How come no one mentioned Protege?

Personally I thought it's one of the best Asian flicks after Infernal Affairs.

Brought my dad to watch and he left with a heavy heart. I think the acting was good and it packs a good story and moral behind it.

Election 1 and Election 2 is a damn zai show.

Hi Elindra! It's been very long indeed!

This is the first time I've had time to browse the forum. Been very stressed and busy. Hope everyone is doing good!

Just noticed I've become a "senior" member, feels old! haha

Hope I'll have more time to check back in...

I didn't watch Election I but Election II was definitely very good as well. I recently heard that Louis Koo was a thug and had been in the slammer for robbery. Is that why he play gangster roles so well? haha just jesting. I happen to think that he's a very good actor.

elindra SG
