the Bear SG depends on shape of the final product actually.. the parasitic fungus can eat away a worm.. and it'll end up shaped like the worm we see.. if it eats away a bat pup, it will look like a bat pup.. these days, they farm the fungus with something like tofu
the Bear SG you got me well, the long and short of it is that cordyceps is a parasitic fungus which infects vegetable worms... after it eats the whole worm, it throws out a stalk to spread its spores.. something like it being a worm one season and a "grass" a couple of seasons later
av98m SG it's like those horror movies liddat. some parasite finds a host, in this case the worm, feeds off it, eventually killing it, and then starts growing right through thr worm's body to become 'grass'

the Bear SG it climbs up the stalks of plants in broad daylight when it usually goes and hides.. the pulsating eyestalk which is where the parasite goes to will attract birds as it looks like a tasty worm..
