I think it only happens when buffet restaurants have busy
nights, I've encountered this at Ikoi too.
Cos when they're full house at say 8pm yet quite a few empty tables
from 6pm till then, they'll open to whoever wants the limited time
slots.
To get around it, you have to book really early.
