i always like the map
and we would all hunch over the map looking to where we're going or where we are at.

was watching Tony Bourdain... he's got the right attitude..

in every new place he goes to, he goes and gets himself utterly lost first...

it's the only time you get to do that.. and it is exhilarating! Very Happy

For my hubby, I might just buy him a goldwing if he so wishes it.

Errr...my uncles riding group got this kinda wives. Thats why I respect and ride with these people.

The aunties sometimes comes along. And the sort of posture they maintain for a long trip just to accompany their hubs on rides on grizzly old sports bike. Its admirable.

Right...you can respect me then.

The first day I took the accountant kup kia to tour Phuket, I lost my way. And I forgot to bring out the maps. So I was basically getting lost.

The 2nd time, time, I merely glance at the map, roughly think which directions to go and venture from there.

I was lost, but at least I got better direction sense and found my way to my destination w/o trouble again. Though using a more scenic route this time.

yeah its either a puying thai
or a lady rider... or someone who's like a puying thai but doesn't tell me to stop riding and she comes along for touring trips.

Err....not really. I got no destination to ride to. And I dont know the folks well enough.

I do know about the Cooks Corner bike gathering. But then again. I dont know anyone. Go there sip a cup of gasless coca cola, I did.

This trip, I am determine to bring back Dainese Helmets, Boots and Summer Touring gear. For Singapore & Thailand touring!

A GPS-equipped laptop can be a godsend in an unfamiliar city:

That's the SO and me GPS-sing our way to the Boeing factory on our visit to Seattle earlier this year.

eh i got lost in melbourne too~ i was walking around and i walked very far.

a couple walking their dogs came up to me and said i looked lost

i gave them the address and they said i am very very very far.

i was supposed to go to QV, beside the library.
i walked all the way to the university.

One of the last trip we went riding.

One guy, the supposedly leader has a GPS.

After some friendly scaring of how lost the leader can be..the guys then huddles together to look at the map and the best instructions from that huddling.

"When you come to this junction of this town. You will see a big sign to tell you to turn right."

The guys who huddled mutters: "The map where got show a big sign to turn right?"

All of us followers bikers couldnt care less and was laughing and delighted at the prospect of getting lost.
