elindra SG A marine aquarium is not expensive to maintain. It is only expensive if you have a coral tank because of the equipment you need if you don't want your corals to die and rot in the tank and kill your fish. I am not sure about the price of the fishes where you are but over here in SG, marine fish cost about the same as fresh water fishes so it is really affordable but I'm still happy with freshwater fishes as there are way too many that are interesting to play with. No new pet yet for now. I was tempted on buying a stone fish the other day but couldn't figure where to keep it so I scrapped the idea

I'm heck a lot more worried about national security implications for countries that cease to have domestic manufacturing capacity/capability and are totally dependent on China for manufactured goods.
