I just dont LOOK at it.. or.. if i need to.. i take quick glimpses, then let my fingers do the work while i concentrate on tv and try not to gag but the taste is worth it Its like my family knows when I am taking my lotus root peanut soup.. halfway through if I screech and push the bowl towards them... they got to remove tt offending lotus root or the peanut inside it. They think its funny cos they can actually see my goose pimples when tt happens. BUT I still eat it
