Rhonda SG Because there's a nursing shortage and on top of that, few nurses here want to work a five-day week, there are nurse banks in the hospitals here where the nurses are sent to wards that require additional staff during a shift. If there aren't enough nurses in the nurse bank to meet the demand, the hospital will use nursing agencies to supply the required nurses.
