DEsperate HousewiVes ON TV !

the Bear SG

you know what that is called?

it's called manipulation..

it's just another side of emotional blackmail

the Bear SG

like Mary Alice Young is saying..

control...

it's all about control...

but control is an illusion...

in other news, it's kinda sad that ferret isn't here tonight Neutral

Rhonda SG

"Control... some rely on deception while others engage in outright trickery. Then there are those who resort to extortion. Why do we fight so hard for control? Because we know to lose it is to put our fate in the hands of others. What could be more dangerous?"

The End of Episode 2, Season 2.

Very Happy

the Bear SG

remember.. control is an illusion..

they will be unable to control you if you do not care about "control"

that is.. the paradox of it all..

the more you care, the more you fight, the more you are ensnared..

Rhonda SG

Hmm... this would have been a perfect verbatim transcript if not for the fact that I missed the first sentence! Razz

OK, from now on, each time I watch Desperate Housewives, I shall try to capture the voiceover prose at the end, verbatim! Mr. Green I find the prose extremely meaningful, so ... consider it done! Wink

Rhonda SG

Try this quiz! Wink

Which Desperate Housewife are you?

Laughing

Rhonda SG

Took the quiz... and I'm Susan!! Shocked

"You always mean well, but somehow things don't always work out as you've planned. It doesn't matter. You take your tumbles with good grace and always come up smiling. But try to remember you're the grown-up in the family."

Shocked Shocked

Razz

Rhonda SG

Soo... No one else has tried the quiz yet? Razz

choco B SG

LOL
Oh wow I'm Bree! Twisted Evil

Hahha it's true... be afraid, be very afraid.........

You're the perfect wife, mother, and housekeeper, and just a bit of a control freak.
Everyone admires you, but maybe they're just a little bit afraid of you.
Step away from the souffle, ease up on the hairspray, and learn to go with the flow.

the Bear SG

think a lot of people don't do the quiz is coz it doesn't work on firefox Wink

choco B SG

It does. I'm using firefox.

the Bear SG

hmm.. i get a blank bit where i think the quiz would be Razz

but then, i'm a dude Laughing

choco B SG

That's odd, cos there's a male / female option too! LOL It's a gender frenly quiz.

the Bear SG

i'll give it a try again Wink

the Bear SG

it took a couple of refreshes Laughing

the Bear is likely to date or marry Susan of Desperate Housewives.

She's sexy, spontaneous, and quite liable to lose her clothes in some bizarre accident more than once in the course of a day. You may be constantly applying band-aids and showing up with spare keys, but at least life with this single mom is never dull.

P.S. You'll have to do all the cooking, but who's complaining?

Laughing

1bigmess SG

That was fun, tried the quiz, I am the susan of desperate housewives! Very Happy

you always mean well but somehow things don't always work out as you'd planned. It doesn't matter. You take your tumbles with good grace and always come up smiling. But try to remember you are the grown-up in your family.
