Talking about action flicks, the local video rental place had
their "99-cent Tuesday" rental specials yesterday and, just for
grins and giggles (in addition to being a cheap bastard and all), I
rented Ronin as I had
heard the movie featured some really great action sequences.
I wasn't disappointed! The breathtaking car chases through the
streets of Paris were certainly the highlight of the movie, but I
was equally impressed by the realistic gun handling depicted. A few
technical errors were quite obvious (filming equipment reflected in
windows, inconsistent damage to vehicles at different points of a
car chase sequence, etc.), but the movie was enjoyable
nonetheless.
It was never revealed what was in the case that they were trying to
retrieve, though.
