Fruit Tart Adventure - Haphazard Recipe

This Morning I decide to make a Fruit Tart. Mebbe Apple Tart. I don't know.. havent made up my mind but I bought 2 cans of peach.. and got some apples. So will probably end up either apple or peach. So here goes.....

First.... err.. I check how many digestive biscuits make 1 pie crust. Humm.. so gotta place them on the silver foil thing. Add 1 - 2 more cos u know got gaps between the biscuits. What u mean I shd take the silver foil thing out of the packaging first? No space lah.

Then... put inside ziploc bag... hmm on second thought I shouldnt put it so many. But lazy to take out.

Then... crush it. Supposed to use rolling pin but dont have. So whatever is handy I guess will work. Bottom of water bottle is handy. Crush Crush...~

2 spoonfuls of nestum.. cos I like the taste of nestum.. tt day just went to eat the cereal prawns.. very nice!!!...

Add Butter. Oops. Forgot to let it soften. Nevermind.. post this first, chat a bit in MSN.. shd get soft in a while.... la la la

here we go again....

I mix the butter in.. dunno how much.. heck.. more butter more nice right?

Then.. err.. cos like not mushy enough, I add some milk. mush mush.

Hmm how many apples? Nah.. looks like 1 apple per pie shd be quite ok right?

Lazy to peel... so.. i figure if I slice the apples thin enough.. the skin won't be an issue la hor.

I remember some recipe say... must fry the apple with butter.. and cinnamon powder. U know.. I always wanna be the sort of woman who has cinnamon powder in her kitchen. hurhurhuhur...

Some recipe also say... use apple sauce.. but.. i don't have apple sauce so... apple juice I think same same but different la!

Doesn't look creamy so I thought add in condensed milk. But pour.. err.. then realise is evaporated milk. Hmm. O well. too late.

Dang! Frying Pan got no COVER!!!.... I thought I got bright idea - can use the cover from Indian pot. But Cover No Big Enough. Sad

Sigh .. should have used this in the first place..... transfer transfer...

Now for the custard.. lessseeee.. got instructions....eh cheat people one.. custard powder inside got no eggg

I figure I shd make my pie crust BEFORE i make the custard.. sekali the custard cool in the saucepan before I finish making the pie crust jialat. Hmm.. oops. Hmm.. now muck is too mushy. Added in some more nestum and.. 5 more digestives. Realise that Rice Scooper is really good for this mixing thing.

With a bit (a lot) of patience... this finally comes into shape. Not enough for 2 pies.. Sad so the other one just got a base. Nevermind.. custard is quite 'solid' right?

Waa tell me this is nice.. nice.. see the rose in the centre???

Custard powder is quite cool. It is white colour but after add water... become yellow!.. now.. creamy cos added milk liao....

... ... pour intooo pieeee shells.........

... ARGH stupid or what?! Too late.. I pour over the nicely arranged apples. Now cannot see apples. .... Sad

err now what... -frantic search internet- bloody instructions never tell me am I suppose to BAKE the custard or FREEZE the custard or what? Or just naturally will solidify?! Ahh.. says CHILL.

Put inside frig wait wait and see. Later gotta make the... top jelly thing I think.

I just baked double chocolate chips cookies the other day for SO coz he wanted to eat them
I basically dumped the flour, cocoa power, sugar chocolate chips and egg and mixed them all up into dough with a spoon (Yes I have a state of art mixer but too lazy to take it out and clean it later) Laughing
Anyway it turned out ok and he ate up everything in one sitting
So it should be ok for yours Mr. Green

Verdict :

Pie No. 1 : (Full Pie Crust, Custard Inside, Apples on top, Jelly on top of apples)Apples were okay, custard was okay, and some said they liked the pie crust a lot BUT everything combined together was weird. Too much custard possibly the whole thing ended up a mush. Sad

Pie No. 2: (Base Pie Crust, Apples on crust, Custard on apples, Jelly on top)
Haven't eaten yet.
