Aw, far out, MG, don't tell me about season 3! Over in this little corner of the world, we haven't even gotten season 2 yet! Sad

But damn, does the new series rock! I have to admit that having been a die-hard fan of the original series (did I ever kick up a stink with the folks if they planned anything for a Saturday night), I thought that they had to do something pretty spectacular to justify a remake. Lo and behold, they did it.

Ehh, sorry Ben, but I'll disagree that it even comes close to West Wing. The dialogue is too slow and nowhere near as witty, it doesn't have WW's political sophistication and it focusses too much on mainstream drama. It's a good series, but it'll never replace WW.

IMHO, turning Starbuck into a woman, and Boomer into a woman AND a Cylon were brilliant moves, as were twisting the Apollo/Adama relationship and adding the blackmail aspect to Baltar's story. For a present-day audience, playing it as straight and clean as the original script ran would have been a recipe for disaster.

If we’re talking about series that are no longer running, there’s Band of Brothers and Murder One – both must-watch-and-never-miss-an-episode series.

Ahh..the West Wing can never be replaced. It had a superb cast and a great script (for the most part) and many memorable episodes. The one where they buried Leo McGarry, I'm sure none of the cast actually had to act. RIP, John Spencer.

P.S. I am so glad Josh and Donna FINALLY had sex. Sheeesh!!!
