Pen Pals

I had quite a few in my early teens, the pre-pre-pre email days. Laughing There was a show on TV called The Big Blue Marble and I got a couple of international pen pals through them. Also had a few local pen pals. Those were the days. Writing back and forth, waiting for the mail to arrive. Fun! We kept in touch for several years. Wonder what happened to them all?

I remember I had one korean pen-pal during my school days.

It's quite interesting to know from your pen-pal about what a similar age youngster like yourself will be doing at the other part of the world.

Sometimes wondering what has she become now, maybe a mum with few kids already...

I remember local pen pals used to have the .. snail mail version of A/s/l???
always asking for pics and even had a few ask for vital stats!!!

I had a pen pal from Korea too Very Happy but eventually lost touch.

My godma had a penpal from Japan.. that she kept for many many years... so that on her wedding, this pen pal actually sent her a kimono or something from Japan... and even now, they still keep in touch occasionally. My godma is a grandma now Smile
