There was a documentary on The Discovery Channel a few months ago (part of their MegaStructures series, if memory serves) about the Port of Rotterdam.

I distinctly recall it being mentioned that, in terms of the annual tonnage of freight handled, Rotterdam was ranked #1 in the world, followed by Singapore.

That documentary might have been out of date, though.

Actually, if I have the luxury (money), I like to try the trains. It cost more than the plane. Airfare to Vancouver is about C$750. But the train ride? About C$3k. I know by the time the train hits Fatum's province, it's all flat and plains but then pass that, woohoo.........the Rocky Mountains!!! Wink

P07, P21 - P26 was built within 1 year aft 2004 as PSA suddenly experienced a 15% jump in volumes from 60,000 containers a day to 70,000 containers handled a day!

Within a fast time, a manual system can made set up and used
