Yo! Just came up with a pretty interesting idea!
Y'know there's this program where you register a book online then
after you've read it, you write a msg onto the cover page and leave
it anywhere, eg. bus stop / airport / canteen, etc and tell the
person who picks it up to read it and pass it on? Why don't we have
our own 'reading carousel'?
I'm going to start the ball rolling with our first book - "When the
Emperor was Divine" by Julie Otsuka.
Tonight, since a few of us are going to enjoy dinner together, I'll
pass the book on to someone, who'll then read the book, sign on it,
then hand it over to another Club 30 peep, who'll then repeat the
steps!
I've chosen a relatively thin book that's easy to read in the hope
that it will be read within a short time and thus will be able to
make quite a few rounds.
Once you've read the book and signed on the page, please post here
to let us know :
- Whether you liked the book;
- Share extracts from the book that you liked; and
- Who you have passed it on to.
I'll try and see if I have other books that I've read and can
release to the Reading Carousel this evening!
Let's start the ride!
BTW, who wants to be the first 'rider'? Bear? Elindra?
Ferret??
