Artemis wanted to break into the shady world of assassinations
for the Mafia.
So he put himself in the know amongst the shady underworld that he
would do his first hit for $1. And that he would do it dramatically
and unarmed so that everyone would know he did it. That would make
his reputation.
Along came The Don and said, "You made me an offer I could not
refuse! Rub out the boss of the Russian Mob, and I'll even take you
in my Family as the Problem Solver."
Artemis went off and stalked his prey. Then, stealthily, he went
into the Russian boss's room, and strangled the man to death. It
was horrific as there was much struggling and the room was a mess
after Artie's iron grip suffocated the man. However, when Artie
tried to make his getaway, the Russian boss's wife walked in.
Artie had no choice and since he was also unarmed, he strangled her
to death too.
The commotion woke up the butler who was then similarly dispatched
by Artie.
However, there was so much noise made that the silent alarm was
tripped, and the Police arrived. And after a struggle, Artie was
arrested red-handed.
This was front page news! But the Headlines were
underwhelming:
