Rhonda SG This is where the Mandarin music scene has a good way of classification - singers are divided into Ou3 Xiang4 Pai4 (ie. the group you define as 'performers') and Shi2 Li4 Pai4 (ie. talented musicians). The Ou Xiang Pai can only be famous for a short while whereas the Shi Li Pai will be evergreens.

Rhonda SG Two weeks ago, we drove down to Macpherson to eat ngoh hiang but dad made a wrong turn and made a spontaneous executive decision to avoid the traffic jam and head on to Tampines instead. Last night, a local program tracing old food stalls to see where they are located now starring Gurmit and Michelle featured this very ngoh hiang stall so I told my parents, "Let's go there for dinner!" Today, we drove down but omigosh!! Apparently, a lot of folks, having watched that show, had the same idea too! That place had a long queue! We ate something else instead. Siiiiiigh...
