Very, very, very much so.
Perhaps I was viewing the city through the rose-coloured glasses of
a tourist, but there was just so much more to see and do in the
Puget Sound area than here in dreary Minnesota. What do I find
appealing about Seattle that sets it apart from here?
1. Proximity to the ocean. I miss the sights, sounds and smells of
living near the ocean.
2. The varied topography. Minnesota is essentially flat since it is
mostly prairie country. The rolling coastal landscape and verdant
vegetation of Puget Sound is breathtaking.
3. The abundance of Asian food. Can you say, "Uwajimaya?"
4. The relatively mild, maritime climate. Sure, it rains there a
lot, but at least everything looks fresh and clean. AND IT DOESN'T
SNOW!!!
5. No state income tax.
