They're still asleep. How are you?

Son took part in a lock in at the bowling centre Sunday night. Poor boy so exhausted but I had my eye appt Monday morning. Boy couldn't stay home and sleep. Then we had an appt with our tax guy Monday evening. Boy slept on the sofa there. It's 940am now and he's still asleep. Laughing Daughter didn't do much but slept late. Still asleep too.

So yes, they're out of the way.

ah well ... trying to mug for finals ..... got all my notes opened on other windows .... first paper 7pm this evening .... 6 more to go ....

Talk about taxes. Man, we tried doing it ourselves but it got sooo complicated because we got here Oct and I was alone for 2 months, etc. Filing partial CA, partial WA, partial VA, relocation claims, etc Shocked That's why we had no choice but get professional help. The guy gave us a discount too. In the end, we're getting a refund, which is good. We had tweaked with our withholding some years back, hoping to square it away with the govt but apparently we didn't do a very good job! Laughing

after a few bouts, we came to a sort of an understanding .... between midnight and 8am, he'll keep to himself, else I'll bang on the walls ..... but he gets cranky in the day .....

that's still a problem, cos during the exam season, I often zonk out in school for a night or two before coming back in the morning to crash out .....

and it's blardy frustrating not being able to sleep after being up for 30+ hours .... Mad

Yah, Shamu is. They trademarked the name. Hubby thought it was the same Shamu from when he was a kid. Laughing Since we're leaving soon, we're in a hurry to catch all the attractions before we go. Next stop: Legoland.

Actually, even thought the Seattle forecast calls for rain, don't take it to heart. It won't be that way. BTW, people there don't use umbrellas. If you need more info, hubby will be glad to help.

I really feel for you. That's what gets me, the cardboard walls they use to build. Back in base housing in Japan, the walls were so thin, I could hear the Jamaican and her hubby doing the deed.

Is moving an option for you? That's what I did. I just couldn't stand it anymore after 18 months of living like that. Housing and security couldn't do anything for us. It even went up to the command level but still nothing happened. Then the Jamaican's hubby came over to say that they had sign up for another 3 years in Japan and that pushed me over the edge. That was when I decided to move off base into a Japanese house, on our tab. Sooo hard!!!!!

but what the hell .... school's going to be over soon ..... so i'll just suck it up eh ..... i wonder where life may bring me to next .... Razz

Sometimes moving is exciting. I actually enjoy packing, organising, moving, strange as it may sound. Kinda of therapeutic.

I'm tied to a lease here too. We're hoping to be in WA by August. I know we're going to lose out on a month's rent. Oh well.

reminds me while i stayed in uni halls of residence...

my flatmate brought his gf back..n they were screwing rather loudly..or rather.. his gf was screamin n moaning so loudly.. n my room was like 10m away.

i guess they thought i wasnt home.......
