the place is beautiful with the most wonderfully weird architecture, a wonderful beach, beautiful streets, people, buildings and food.. a mix of spanish and catalan..

BC's pretty nice too ... neways vancouver and seattle is just a hop from each other ... lots of US kids come over to play at white rock too ...

but i just find myself strangely drawn to seattle ... definitely planning to drive down there after grad, to check things out ... wonder if jetta can say anything about the place ...

Oh yah? Hmm....but the real estate is horrendous!!! Twisted Evil I was trying to search. There was a recent report, not sure conducted by whom. It indicated Vancouver as the 15th most expensive city to live in. Toronto was ranked at 50 *phew*. The avg home price in Vancouver is in the 400 range and in TO? It's in the 300 range. Cheapest in Canada? Winnipeg. Average home is priced at C$135k.

And who gets the number one most expensive city? LA. Wink

Oh yeah, jetta could "educate" us on that. But with Seattle losing the Super Bowl, she may be in a foul mood. Razz

I stayed over at a friend's place there once before ... he has a big outdoor jacuzi pool in his backyard ! .... Surprised Shocked

we bought oysters and red wine and invited a bunch of his high school female friends over to soak with us ... Embarassed

LOL seriously we always get "melbourne" is better than Sydney in the local news too... but again from melbourne ppl only lol international reports always point to Sydney. Cause Melbourne is usually cold and damp. Which is the common joke both in Sydney and Melbourne that it always rain every other day lol

It seems that woman like melbourne cause shopping is cheaper and closer together, unlike Sydney which is spread out over entire city, lol which is easier on the heels.

Queensland is where u want to be to enjoy the sun and surf. Also cheaper houses and more relaxed lifestyle.
