Rhonda SG The movie opens officially on 16 Jan but previews will be shown tomorrow! Yes, TOMORROW!! It will be screened past 11pm in cinemas though. I'm soooo tempted to attend but I think I shall just wait for it to start screening during the 'normal' hours first! Exciting! Exciting!!
Rhonda SG Was it already shown last week?! And, how could it be? From the trailers, it looks like it's a very beautiful movie! Lemme guess... you're all quite young, right? Teens to young adult? Cuz this age group would most likely not like this genre of movies in the first place!

rainee SG ugh...I watched this movie oledi... my advice is... dun go if u wan to save money. better spend it on the book if u havent read it yet and yes, I cudnt understand the English being spoken there, even tho I am an Asian myself...and a lot of ang mohs who were watching together with me in the cinema that time said they cudnt understand it either...

Rhonda SG OK, an interesting titbit about this movie... Watched the Ch 5 trailers where our local reporter, Michelle erm... something , interviewed the director and the lead actors and actresses in this movie? She was dressed in a green kimono and spoke Japanese-accented English for kicks. Well, in a recent issue of 8 Days, it was revealed that when she approached Zhang ZiYi speaking like that, ZiYi took an immediate offence to it, asking her indignantly, ''Why do you speak that way?'' Apparently, ZiYi interpreted that as an affront on her bad English and was offended. The interview ended shortly and abruptly. And that's why you don't see ZiYi's interview in the trailers!
rainee SG The Shopaholics series is one of the better chick lits around...I have read all of them and also another book by the same author titled: Can You Keep a Secret? I think they are making Can You Keep a Secret into a movie, starring Kate Hudson
rainee SG I think the book explains it better.... and maybe it is kinda hard to cram everything, every description in the book into a movie...but it was already quite long to begin with...3 hours in fact. but it is the description that makes the book beautiful, imo.
shinta SG er... the story is kinda funny sometimes.. how she'd lie to get away with shopping... and the reply letters from the bank managers made it more hilarious maybe i'd type out one of the letters.. the extent she'd go to... to avoid paying off her credit card bills
shinta SG woo u've got them all? i can't seem to find a decent copy for shopaholic tyin the knot... darn.. the copies are all defaced.. some were worse.. half the cover was torn .. -_-||||||||||| others... got glue all over the top, and cos the book's white.. that's pretty obvious isn it? i wanna get secret too... but nel said no.. finish 1 series first and i've got the book undomestic goddess...
